Sheik Muhammad Abdur Rahman Madani (born January 10, 1971) is a writer and the Khatib of Darul Ummah Mosque. He is known as an Islamic Scholar and presenter on Islamic programs on Channel S. Background Abdur Rahman Madani was born in Bangladesh, and moved to the Medina when he was a teenager to study at Islamic University of Madinah. Subsequently he moved to the England to study at PhD at Goldsmiths, University of London. Media and charity work Abdur Rahman Madani went to Bangladesh , when the consequences of Cyclone Sidr which happened in 2008 that left millions homeless, with Muslim Aid to help the team to distribute the food, water and wearing goods to the people which have been highly influenced, alongside with Barrister Rizwan Hussain and Abdur Jolil Miah . Leadership From 16 April 2002, serving as the Khatib of Darul Ummah Mosque, London giving multi-lingual (Arabic, English and Bengali) Khutba. Executive Member of Da’watul Islam United Kingdom and Ireland, a community organisation that is actively engaged in spreading the word of Islam to people. He is also the chairman of Global Aid Trust (GAT), a newly established charity organisation. Education BA (Hons) Arabic Language & Islamic Studies (1994) from the Islamic University of Madinah, Saudi Arabia. MA Arabic (1995) and MPhil (1999) from Dhaka University, achieving 1st class 1st in both. PGCE (2008) from Goldsmiths, University of London and pursuing PhD in London.
