Shattered Image were a rock and roll band formed in the early 1990's from the Hudson Valley Area, New York State, USA. Shattered Image was known to be band ahead of it's time. The band specialized in new rock music. Popular Tunes included "SEATTLE SONG", a song with a "grunge" feel which protested how the band was sick of Grunge Songs. Other favorites included "BLOOD TIES", "PICTURES OF THE EXIBITIONISTS / BURNING THE NEGATIVES", and the favorite "YOU NEVER KNOW". As of this writing, Shattered Image is known to have written the first Calvin and Hobbs rock song, "SPACEMAN SPIFF", and is credited for using the word "Transmorgofier" for the first time lyrically.

It was also noted for playing the latest cover music. The secret (revealed here in for the first time): The members of Shattered image studied rock radio play charts, and they learned and practiced the tunes ahead of a song's popularity curve. This unique insight gave Shattered Image a unique popularity advantage with their crowds, as they were able to play covers of current charting music with great accuracy and precision.

In addition, the entire sound system was resurrected from discarded audio equipment (ranging from manufacture dates of 1960s through the 1980's) which was painstakingly rebuilt piece by piece. Custom modifications included reckless additional output wattage, wireless guitar modifications, as well as other custom rigging. Due to the equipment's size, weight, and audio output power, it was nicknamed "R2D2", and considered to be it's own entity and an official member of the band.

In their last effort as a full band, the song "BLUE CARPET FEEL" was written. "BLUE CARPET FEEL" was seen as an evolution and stepping point for the band for taking their music to the next level. This project was in process to be put into full production. The members broke up during their "Fear of Success" Tour, fulfilling their own self-pronounced prophecy.
