Shannon T. Boodram is a Canadian TV personality, photographer, and author. She has worked at RogersTV Toronto since 2006 hosting High School Rush (for which she won an Impression Award in 2009) and currently as a supporting host on the station's flagship show Daytime Toronto. Her first book "LAID: Young People's Experiences with Sex in an Easy-Access Culture" was published across North America. She toured with the book and has appeared on Fox News, The CW's KTLA, ABC's Advice for Life, Cp24's LeDrew Live, TVO's the Agenda with Steve Paikan and is a regular on CHCH's Face-Off. LAID: Teens Experience with Sex In 2009 Shannon released her book LAID, a series of narratives from teens and young people describing their first sexual experiences. The book stemmed from a website which Shannon had created for the young people to share their first experiences with sex and relationships. It was released and obtained a great deal of media attention in Canada, catching the attention of MacLeans Magazine. Her mother, a nurse, first discovered her project when Shannon was 16. Television Boodram started on television at the Rogers Television Studio in Durham. She auditioned for and was cast as the host of Rogers Cable TV program, High School Rush. Around the same time she also interned with MTV. She is currently the host for the Toronto Rogers Program Day Time
