Shannon Rose (born August 28, 1974) is a professional wrestling Ring Announcer, EA Sports MMA Ring Announcer, Hollywood reporter and publicist, and Radio Personality. EDS (Ehler-Danlos Syndrome) Shannon Rose was born with a life-threatening syndrome known as EDS (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome); the illness has no cure. EDS is a connective tissue disorder involving collagen mutations. There are six versions of EDS. All of them are under-diagnosed, and an estimated 60-70% of the deadly Vascular EDS are undiagnosed entirely. For Rose, he’s fortunate enough to not have the Vascular EDS conditions, but has not avoided the symptoms of this ailment. At the age of 12, both of Shannon’s arms became paralyzed and he lost the use of his voice for a year. Through therapy, long hospital stays and the will to thrive, Rose managed to regain the use of his arms and voice. Career Pro wrestling Rose’s career started at the age of 12 when he was granted a wish from Make-A-Wish Foundation to meet the WWE Icon Hulk Hogan. That introduction brought him in front of the legendary announcer Gordon Solie and Pro Wrestling Legend “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes. Together they helped Shannon begin his career as a professional wrestling ring announcer; Rose made his first appearance as a Professional Ring Announcer at the age of 14. Since his first appearance in the ring, Rose has managed to work with all the major wrestling corporations from ECW to NWA. Rose has also come out of the announcing realm to manage professional wrestlers like Kevin Sullivan, The Mighty Hercules, and Fidel Sierra “The Cuban Assassin”. EA Sport MMA In 2010 Shannon Rose was chosen for his unique announcing style to be one of three ring announcers on EA Sports MMA Video Game which was released in October 2010. Hollywood reporter / publicist In 2007 Rose opened his own National PR company “Eclectic Media Productions” where he’s hosted clients including Hell’s Kitchen’s Chef Robert Hesse, Danny Bonaduce, Michael Lohan, and Pete Trabucco. 2010 launched “The Rose Report” a weekly Nationally Syndicated segment bringing news and happenings from Hollywood, and the entertainment industry.
