Shannon Register is a real estate broker, real estate blogger, speaker, and real estate radio talk show host in Houston, Texas. Born December 20, 1975 in Columbus, Georgia, she grew up in Columbus and attended and graduated from Shaw High School. She received a BA from the University of Georgia in Athens in 1998. Real Estate Shannon started her real estate career with Coldwell Banker in Spring, Texas in 2008. In 2009, she moved to RE/MAX. She grew her business from an individual agent to a multi-agent brokerage by focusing on educating the public and being found online. She regularly speaks and teaches about technology and real estate. She was one of the fearures speakers at the National Association of Realtors Tech Edge events in 2012. She holds the following Realtor designations and certifications: ABR, GRI, SFC, CDPE, , SMP, CNE, ALHS, Texas Realtors Leadership Program, Texas Veteran's Land Board Certified Blogging Starting fresh as a new real estate agent in 2008, Shannon started writing a blog. Using the blog to ensure she was found online and to establish credibility and though leadership, it became integral to her business model. In 2009, her blog was named the "Best Real Estate Blog in Texas" by the Real Estate Research Center at Texas A&M University. This blog continues to be the online hub of Register Real Estate Advisors today. Register Real Estate Advisors Founded in August, 2010, Register Real Estate Advisors is an independent, full service real estate brokerage headquartered in Spring, Texas. Serving all of the Houston metro area, RREA focuses on customer service, agent training, and technology. RREA incorporates blogging, social media, mobile marketing, and high volume video production into their business. Her innovative business model won her national, state, and local acclaim. RREA is currently a finalist for the 2012 Lone Star College Small Business of the Year award. Media Shannon's use of media is a large part of what has differentiated her company from her competitors. Her real estate brokerage built a full in-house audio and video production studio in order to make video a large portion of her marketing efforts. Producing hundreds of real estate videos a year on everything from listing videos to neighborhood tours to the radio show. About half of RREA Media's effort is spent on outside clients and the other half is for the agents of RREA. Shannon is also the Prestige Properties Editor for the National news and information website US Daily Review. Radio Early Shannon began her stint on radio as a real estate contributor to Kevin Price's "The Price of Business" on 650AM in 2010. She contributed to several radio and tv news shows in Houston. These contributions were on the real estate market, various communities in the Houston metro area, and interesting real estate tips for buyers and sellers. Houston Real Estate Radio In 2012, a slot opened up on AM700 KSEV in Houston at 2PM on Sundays. Shannon and her team formed the concept and executed the first show within 48 hours of being awarded the time slot. Houston Real Estate Radio was on the air for the first time on May 13, 2012. The show covers real estate news and information about the real estate industry in one of the nation's leading real estate markets. Some of the guests that have appeared on the show include Congressman Ted Poe, author Jeff Shore, real estate attorney Chuck Jacobus, speaker Bill Lublin, and real estate educator Rita Santamaria.
