Shahla Kareen

Shahla Kareen (born July 20, 1978 in Toronto, Canada) is an artist, designer and actress.
Personal life
Shahla established herself in California at the age of 16. She has a daughter named Paris Leila Palmer (born August 15, 1997) with David Palmer, drummer for ABC and Rod Stewart.
Career
Shahla Kareen works in sculpture, film, painting, writing, photography and fine jewelry.
Started out making jewelry for herself and friends. One day the buyer of Fred Segal saw Shahla with one of her pieces on and asked to see the "collection". She spent the next couple of weeks hand making a full collection and he bought the entire line. When she could no longer keep up with the demands of production, she decided to stop hand making all of the pieces herself.
Her jewelry was launched at Maxfield's LA in January 2009. It is now also carried at boutiques internationally. Her collection has been featured in various magazines, and have been worn by several celebrities.
Art and Photography
She has participated in several art shows, including LA’s “The Bless-ed Event” featuring Norman Reedus and Mark Maggiori in August 2009.
Filmography
Shahla's acting career began in 2002 booking lead roles in low budget indie features. She then moved on to have roles in Traitor (starring Don Cheadle), Undiscovered, Curious Stories, Crooked Symbols, Lucky Day, The Eyes of Edward James, Dress Rehearsal, and Zero Hour.
