Shafique Katumba commonly known as Katsha De’Bank is a Ugandan-born South African socialite. He was one of the members of the self-styled Rich Gang group well known in both South Africa and Uganda. The Rich Gang group was based on both humanitarian and philanthropy principles which target the less privileged youths, especially Ugandans living in South Africa. The Rich Gang graced several occasions both in Uganda and South Africa. Also, Katsha De’Bank invested in numerous educational institutions in South Africa. Early life and education Katumba was born on 29 May 1988 in Kampala, Uganda. He is the second born to Mrs. Monica Kabali and the late Al Haji Nasri Sekitoreko. He completed his primary school education at Catherine Primary School and joined Yale High School, Saint Pontiano Ngondwe Senior Secondary School for A`level. Career Katumba started Katsha International College in South Africa, currently with five branches spread across Durban, Pretoria and Johannesburg .. The colleges specialize in Information Technology, among others. Community Work He launched Katsha Foundation in Uganda in August 2019 to help young poor children attain education. In 2019, he opened a school in Mityana DistrictDuring the pandemic COVID-19, several news websites reported that he auctioned his car to raise money for relief in Uganda.
