More specifically, she was named one of the "Hot 20 Under 30" for being a member of "the next generation of leaders in" her field. That year, she estimated that there were 27 million human trafficking victims worldwide. She attempted to partner with the Halton Regional Police Service in hosting awareness campaigns at schools in the Regional Municipality of Halton.
