Shadmehr Aghili

Shadmehr Aghili (born 27 January 1973), better known as a stage name by his first name Shadmehr , is an Iranian musician, singer and songwriter born in Tehran.
Education
Shadmehr Aghili began studying piano and violin through his parents' encouragement when he was 12 years old. He learned later to play guitar as well. After the Iranian Revolution of 1979, he entered an arts school in Tehran. He graduated with a music diploma. As a child Shadmehr was influenced by Persian pop star Siavash Shams and other singers like Andy. Aghili composed a great deal of music for other singers.
Earlier Career in Iran
In 1997, Shadmehr Aghili first important release was a music interpretation in Bahareman ("My spring"), which was a collection of classic and folkloric music played and arranged by Aghili ( with violin, guitar, piano, keyboard). The same year he sang in Mabood, his first vocal music effort, and afterward he continued work in Mosafer ("The traveler") and release of his second album, in effect his first vocal album.
In 1999 he created the successful album, Dehati ("The villager"), with rock and roll, rhythm and blues and popular rhythms. However, none of his songs were permitted to be played on Iran's public radio and television. tried again to get public airplay through the album Adam o Hava ("Adam & Eve"), supposed to be released in 2001. However he was turned down and he was banned from appearing in Iranian TV shows.
However Shadmehr acted in two Iranian movies, Pare Parvaz (2000) and Shabe Berahneh (2001).
International Career
Running out of choices in creating music in Iran, Shamdehr Aghili decided to leave the country and immigrate in order to be able to continue his music in Canada, away from any restrictions. He has become popular in Iranian expatriate communities in North America and Western Europe. He released a string of albums inclduing Khiali Nist ("No Worries"), Adamforoush ("Traitor", 2004), Popcorn (2006) and Sabab (Reason, Un-Official, 2008).
In October 2006, Shadmehr entered the United States for an American tour through Patrick Soleymani and Faranak Farhoudi of Harmony Entertainment Group. He resided eventually with his wife Mia Mesa in Los Angeles, California.
