Shackles

Shackles is a Norwegian singing duo consisting of Charlotte Kjær & Lwam Feshatzion. Charlotte and Lwam first met while they were participating as individuals on X Factor Norway in 2009. As the competition progressed, the jury experimented with putting the girls together along with fellow competitors Malin Winther and Inger Lise Hope. This new power vocal group was named Shackles by Charlotte, inspired by the lyrics in the Mary Mary song . Battling out their competition each Friday night to reach the finals, Shackles pulled off a spectacular performance at Telenor Arena in front of 12,000 live audience members and 900,000 live TV viewers - a huge achievement for the four previously unknown vocalists from all four corners of Norway.
After the competition, distance made it difficult to keep the dynamics, leading to Malin and Inger Lise moving on from the project. Charlotte relocated to Oslo to join forces with Lwam, who was equally as enthusiastic to take on the challenges that lay ahead. Shackles keep launching new singles and are participating in the song contest Melodi Grand Prix 2013 with the song "On Hold".
