Seven Wonders of Uzbekistan

Seven Wonders of Uzbekistan project that aims to collect in a single database of all the cultural heritage of the country - from architectural monuments, ending with the wonders of nature. During the period of the campaign was able to form the basis of more than 400 objects, and "Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan" section left to float freely, and is now an independent project, which serves as a reference and guide to the historical places of our country.
7th place - the Mausoleum of Guri Amir
Mausoleum Gur-Emir - the tomb of Amir Temur, is an example of medieval architecture of the East. The construction of the mausoleum began in the autumn of 1404. Harmony tomb strikes - on an octagonal basis is a cylindrical drum, which recorded twelve-ribbed dome covered with majolica. At the bottom of the marble panel belted construction. Today, in the mausoleum you can see the tombstones that marked the burial place. Headstone of Timur, made from a single piece of jade, is located in the center of the tomb. The unique construction is included in World Heritage List UNESCO.
6th place - Ichan-Kala
In ancient Khiva it was divided into three parts: the fortress - Kunya-Ark, suburb - Dishan-Kala and the city - Ichan-Kala. Today Ichan Kala is a museum-reserve under the open sky. On the territory of 26 hectares have managed to keep the image of the exotic East. Two-kilometer earthen wall surrounds the city, and you can enter it through one of the four gates (one gate on each side of light). 5th place - Observatory and memorial museum of Ulugbek
On the outskirts of Samarkand is located Kuhak hill where the observatory is built grandson of Amir Temur - Ulugbek. Construction began in 1424, and 5 years later the building was fully equipped. After the death of Ulugbek Observatory continued to operate for another 20 years, as long as at the beginning of the XVI century was not dismantled in the bricks. Only at the beginning of the XX century the location of the observatory was found by archaeologists Samarkand, and the building has been completely restored. 4th place - Forum Palace
In September 2009, the majestic Forum Palace was built in Tashkent. The development company engaged in the design IppolitoFleitzGroup from Germany. The design is presented in a modern style, in which there are elements of the traditional architecture of Uzbekistan. Palace Forum is divided into several parts: the foyer, the auditorium, the VIP-hall, banquet hall, conference hall and a restaurant. The height of the ceiling in the main lobby of more than 16 meters and the floor area is 2500 square meters. The ceiling is decorated with chandeliers made of more than one million crystals Swarovski.
3rd place - Tashkent TV Tower
Capital Tower is one of the highest (375 meters) of buildings of its kind in Central Asia. The tower was built in six years, it opened in January 1985. Functional tasks are TV Tower and broadcasting, but the building is also subject to visits by residents and guests. From the observation deck (100 meters above ground) Visitors climb to the restaurant "Koinot" (Space), which can accommodate up to 120 visitors at a time.
2nd place - name Savitsky Museum of Art
State Museum of Arts named after Savitsky - one of the largest museums in Uzbekistan. The museum's collection is recognized as the world's second-largest and volume among the collections of Russian avant-garde. Modern museum's collection contains more than 90 000 different exhibits. In addition to the works of Russian avant-garde and include paintings of Uzbek artists and applied art of Karakalpakstan and Khorezm ancient. In the collection, there are even a few copies of the Louvre exhibits. With the opening of the museum in February 1966 Savitsky devote themselves entirely to the completion of the museum collection. Later, in 2002, his selfless work was highly appreciated by the government of the country, and he was posthumously awarded the Order of the Republic of Uzbekistan "Buyukhizmatlariuchun" (For great merits).
1st place - Ensemble of Registan
Honorable first place in the ranking belongs to the Oriental Pearl - Registan Square in Samarkand. World fame this place has become thanks to the magnificent architectural complex, which is one of the best monuments of architecture of the East. On three sides of the square is flanked by majestic madrassas with a unique design: Ulugbek Madrasah, Sher-Dor and Tillya-Kari. Since the first construction for more than six centuries have passed on the Registan Square, and now it carried the brightest city events: concerts, celebrations and others. Thanks to such buildings, preserved in the territory of Samarkand, in 2001 the city was included in the UNESCO World Heritage list. Every day, hundreds of tourists from all over the world come to the square to appreciate the greatness of the monument of architecture with his own eyes.
