Serpent Rider

The Serpent Riders are a trio of powerful demons from the Heretic/Hexen universe. The Riders are (in sequence in which they appear in games chronologically); *D'Sparil *Korax *Eidolon D'Sparil is the weakest of the three, featured as the final boss in Heretic, then Korax from Hexen, and finally Eidolon, the oldest and most powerful of the three from Hexen II. In all three games one of the Riders ravaged and took over a different world set in a period reminiscent of medieval, but with a twist of magic thrown in. The players' mission in each game is to wade through legions of Riders' minions and ultimately slay the Rider himself. D'Sparil is the only actual "rider" of a Serpent, while the other two fight on their own. The symbol of the three appears as a Neptune trident, although it is featured prominently only in Heretic. |
