Selina Hakki

Selina Hakki (born 1967) is the first woman convicted in the United Kingdom of using Rohypnol to subdue victims in a series of robberies.
Selina Hakki was convicted in December 2004 at Middlesex Crown Court, England, of two counts of theft.
The investigating police had reports of connected robberies dating between 2000 and 2003.
Hakki would meet her victims in the bars of high class London hotels and convince them that she wanted to have sex with them in their hotel room or home.
Once she was alone with the victim Hakki would spike their drink with the 'date rape' drug Rohypnol. The victims would become unconscious and she would ransack the property stealing small high value items and cash.
In January 2005 Hakki was sentenced to five years in jail.
Sentencing Hakki, Judge Henry Blacksell said:

"I have no doubt that you committed these very serious offences for gain. They demonstrated a degree of planning, sophistication and controlling behaviour.
They (your victims) were left senseless. It is no thanks to you they did not suffer any physical long-term effects. Certainly they did mentally, with the added problem of the loss of their property."
