SeeD (band)

SeeD Pagan Folk are a Dutch pagan folk band inspired by fairy folklore. They have become a prominent part of the folk scene at Castlefest and are featured on regularly on CeltCast Radio. Fans are referred to as "SeeDlings", after the mascot that appears in album covers and plushes.
The band makes use of traditional and acoustic instruments such as flutes, acoustic guitars, traditional drums, the didgeridoo, jaw harp, bodhrán and bouzouki as well as vocals. Vocal are sung in Dutch and English, and for the single Het Vergeten Volk (2020), in Irish Gaelic too.
SeeD was founded in 2011 by brothers Koen van Egmond and Lars van Egmond. They have performed regularly throughout the Netherlands, including Castlefest in 2015 and 2016, then headlining in 2017 and 2018. They have also performed in Italy, Belgium (including headlining Elftopia 2019) and the UK multiple times.
