Sean Yu

Sean Yu is a Taiwanese American financial advisor at Morgan Stanley and a philanthropist. He is a managing director at Morgan Stanley.
Professional career
Sean Yu is a Managing Director with Morgan Stanley Wealth Management. Over the last 12 years, he has built The Sean Yu Group from the ground up, which consists of seven members and managing over $540 million in assets (as of 04/30/15). Sean holds an M.A. degree in International Relations from the University of Chicago and is a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) as well as a Certified Private Wealth Advisor (CPWA). In 2009, Sean became a member of the Morgan Stanley Chairman’s Club, an elite group composed of the firm’s top Financial Advisors. He is one of the leading Asian American Wealth Advisors at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management.
Most recently, Sean Yu was named to the prestigious On Wall Street’s “Top 40 Advisors Under 40” in the US, ranking #6 in 2014 and #7 in 2013. In Barron’s “Top 1,200 Financial Advisors” in CA, he was ranked #89 in 2015 and #83 in 2014, as well as named in the Financial Times’ “Top 400 Financial Advisors” in 2014. Sean also received the Los Angeles Business Journal’s “Asian Business Award for Public Company of the Year” for his outstanding leadership and dedication to the Asian American Community in 2014.
