Scripts At Work was a playwriting organisation based in Red Deer, Alberta. It was founded in 2003 by Lynda Adams and Tanya Ryga and ceased activity at the end of 2014. Aspiring playwrights submitted scripts to the organisation each year, and a jury of literary professionals selected some to be developed further under the guidance of professional theatre directors and dramaturges. Literary professionals who have served on Scripts At Work juries include Vanessa Porteous, Trevor Schmidt, Eric Rose, Glenda Stirling, and Mieko Ouchi. The screenplay for the film Tumaini was adapted from a script that was selected by Scripts At Work. Scripts At Work also hosted an annual fundraiser at Red Deer College.
