Scottish Amaranthine Order

.]]
The Scottish Amaranthine Order is an androgynous, freemasonry order for Master Masons and their female relatives. Constitutionally, it is distinct and not part of any other organisation. It is established that the benefits due by Master Masons be reciprocated by their family members.
History
The order was founded in Glasgow, on with the impetus coming in large part from then Grand Royal Matron M.S. Mary Smith. The first Annual Convention was held in Ayr Town Hall later that year. The Scottish Amaranthine Order took the Commonwealth of Nations and Ireland as its jurisdiction.
Religious Basis
Membership is dependant upon a belief in a Supreme Being, and the order borrows freely from Christianity, Egyptian mythology, Satanism and the Occult in its ceremonies. Elements of these disparate beliefs can be found in the opening ritual of the opening ceremonies of a subordinate court:
Royal Matron, what are your duties? To lead in the devotional exercises of the Court, and have a watchful care over the spiritual needs of its members To keep Faith in all things, in the sun when it is hidden, in the Spring when it is gone, to see with the eye of Faith
Or likewise from the Initiation ceremony: "The Standard of our Order with the "All-seeing Eye" upon it is the symbol of Eternal Truth. The five-pointed star ... is to us an emblem of Truth
The Secret Nature of the Organisation
During the Grand Court's proceedings, the Honoured Lady or Sir Knight, the Supreme Grand Warder is instructed that the Order is "of a secret character and an irreparable injury might result" were he or she to neglect their duties.
Ceremonies
The principal ceremonies include Proclamation, Opening Ceremonies, Entrance of Officers, Escort, Balloting, Initiation, Closing Ceremonies, Coronation, Installation of Officers, Installation of Grand Court Officers, Installation of Supreme Grand Court Officers, the Organisation or Constitution of Grand or Subordinate Courts. and related ceremonies.
Ceremonies are set out around a square, marked North, South, East, West, and members march and stand in lines, wearing white robes, between the various points. The square is focused on an altar, and attended by various regalia, including a Bible, wreath, gavels, banners, emblems, and flags. At the Proclamation members extend the right arm forward (palm down) the hand on a level with the eye and slightly to the right of the body, thumb and fingers together and extended.
