Scott Hanselman is a Principal Program Manager at Microsoft's Developer Division and a prominent technology author, public speaker, developer, and evangelist. He can often be seen speaking about software development, most frequently about software and web development at Microsoft events such as . Scott publishes a blog and podcast both of which are mostly about technology and software development. Hanselminutes Podcast Scott publishes a weekly podcast called Hanselminutes. The podcast primarily covers technology that would interest software developers who use Microsoft technologies, although Hanselman sometimes also covers general technology topics that would be of interest to all. One characteristic that sets this podcast apart from others is Scott's motto "the podcast that won't waste your time." Except for the 60-second introduction at the beginning and a 60-second plug for some advertiser somewhere in the middle, if the .mp3 file is 60 minutes long, you get 60 minutes of Scott and his guest talking about technology. NerdDinner.com Scott created a social meet-up application called NerdDinner so technical people can enjoy meals together over discussions of technology. NerdDinner was created with Microsoft's ASP.NET MVC Framework and is one of several early demonstrations of how quickly applications can be created using the framework. Scott published the code under the Microsoft Public License. You can find the code for the project on Microsoft's open source portal CodePlex. NerdDinner.com was debuted at '09 during a talk titled, "File -> New Company." Google Chrome On September 11, 2008, a few days after the release of Chrome's source code, Scott Hanselman noticed some potentially incriminating lines of comment in Chrome's code. ==Baby Smash!== Scott wrote BabySmash for his 2-year-old and 5-month-old kids, so they could bang on the keyboards of his Windows machines without hurting anything. It's a copy/homage of the free AlphaBaby for the Macintosh. BabySmash is gratis (but not free software): http://www.hanselman.com/babysmash/index.htm
