Scoobie Davis

Scoobie Davis is the pen name of a self-described media hacker who writes for the political weblog Scoobie Davis Online. Davis’ blog is eclectic, devoting space to media criticism and his confrontations with prominent right-wing media figures such as Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity, his tales of crashing Hollywood parties, and his postmodernist enjoyment of cartoonist Jack Chick’s work. Since going online in February 2002, Davis first gained notoriety for being the first blogger to document numerous misrepresentations in Ann Coulter’s 2002 book Slander: Liberal Lies about the American Right (which led to ). Davis also is known for using the practice of Google bombing to expose and embarrass prominent right-wing figures.

In October 2006, Davis announced that he obtained the first interview with reclusive and controversial cartoonist Jack Chick since 1975 and was doing a documentary film about Chick and his work.

Davis attended Miami University in Ohio where he earned a B.A. in history. (He also did graduate work at The Ohio State University and the University of Massachusetts at Amherst).
