Biography

Blood Gatherer is a Heavy Metal and Experimental artist from the Transylvania Region of Romania, present day Ţara Moţilor. Blood Gatherer is a front name for the musician Hawk McLancaster Esq. who was resposible for all of the bands music, mixing, and production until recently. McLancaster has been described by the local media as a reclusive individual who partakes in bizzarre rituals in his abandoned old world Castle turned home. While not much is known of McLancasters history, it has been reported that he can trace his ancestry back to Elizabeth Bathory-Nadasdy, the Hungarian Blood Countess.

In October of 2007, Hawk McLancaster Esq. added three members to the Blood Gatherer line-up. Dalila Unfortunate is the groups female vocalist, and sometimes does programming and keyboards along with McLancaster. Rasputin Ecks, sometimes called "The Facemelter" because of his blistering guitar solos, is the lead guitarist for the band. The third member added was Sur Darius to play rhythm guitar and provide back-up vocals.

Like McLancaster, very little is known about these new members of the band. It is believed that these new members are not from Romania, as McLancaster traveled exstensively looking for new band mates and a new translator.

Controversy

After extensive touring in late 2002 McLancaster had an altercation with fellow Romanian rock group Monster Brigade and Escapees of the Universe. The altercation reportedly occurred at a Transylvanian music award conference when Hawk McLancaster Esq. claimed he would "Crush the seed of unborn children." Hawk McLancaster has been reported as saying "This controversy is more like a NON-traversy."
