Scalable Capital

Scalable Capital is a digital investment manager operating from London and Munich.
Regulation
The company is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority in the UK and the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority in Germany.
Founders
Scalable Capital was founded by Erik Podzuweit, Florian Prucker, Adam French, Patrick Pöschl (all formerly with Goldman Sachs) and the financial econometrician Stefan Mittnik.
Technology
The company sets up and manages risk-tailored ETF portfolios that comprise the asset classes equities, bonds, commodities, and real estate. Employing proprietary technology, forward-looking risk projections are used to assess the risk of clients' portfolios, with risk being measured in terms of value-at-risk (VaR) at the 95% confidence level. Instead of targeting fixed portfolio weights, Scalable Capital rebalances portfolios when their projected VaR is not in line with a client’s chosen VaR level.
Funding
In April 2016 Scalable Capital raised €7 million in a Series A funding round, bringing its total founding to €11 million.
