Sayyid Mahmud Agha

Sayyid Mahmud Agha was a Sufi from South Asia. He was the brother of Sayyid Mir Jan and acted under him as a saint of the Naqshbandi Sufi order. Together with his brother, he preached the teachings of their ancestor Khawand Mahmud, known by his followers as Hazrat Ishaan.
Biography
A descendant of Bahauddin Naqshband after 7 generations was Hazrat Ishaan, Sayyid Mahmud Agha and his descendants later immigrated to variable regions of South Asia, like Afghanistan in order to spread the Naqshbandiyya Sufi order's teachings.
Sayyid Mahmud Agha's followers call him Noorun ala Noor (light upon light).
Death
Mahmud Agha died in Lahore in his twenties. Allegedly, after his death, his Hindu, Sikh and Muslim followers clashed, wishing to bury him in accordance with their respective religions.<ref name"Badr Akhlaq page 115" />
