Sayyid Ibrahimul Khaleelul Bukhari

Sayyid Ibrahimul Khaleel Al Bukhari is the founder of and chairman of the Ma'din Islamic Academy and leader of many educational and charity initiatives around the globe.
Education and Early life
He was born 2 February 1964 in Kadalundi in Kozhikkode district of Kerala, the southern most state of India. Kadalundi is a coastal village close to the Arabian Sea. It is famous for its bird sanctuary which is home to various migratory birds during certain seasons and has been recently declared as a bio-reserve. Beypore, the ancient sea port and gate way to India from ancient time itself and Chaliyam the historical Muslim centre for centuries are notable places around Kadalundi.
He started education from his pioneer, his father Sayyid Ahmed Bukhari (died 1987)and joined Dars the traditional Islamic learning centre under Beeran Koya Musliyar, Perumugam. After Dars, he joined then famous centre of Islamci Knowledge, in Vellore, Tamil Nadu. He graduated Moulavi Fazil Baqavi with second rank in 1986.
Teacher
In 1986, the year he finished his degree he started Dars in Masjidunnoor, Konompara, Malappuram, Kerala. Till 1997 he remained the chief Qazi and Mudarris of Konompara with good reputation and acceptance.
It was in 1997 he started Ma'dinu Ssaquafathil Islamiyy ( Ma'din Islamic Academy). It was a humble beginning. But now it has grown into a mass movement with 25 educational institutions and 10500 students.
Ma'din Islamic Academy
Ma’din, the word means a source or origin, the source of love, empathy and all virtues. Those who are in distress and are in need of help, walk into the soothing shade of Ma’din, as if they have found a new path of survival. It is a source of hope for those who grope in the wilderness of privations. Ma’din,Ssaquafathil Islamiyya, started in a humble way in 1997, has now grown into a mass movement with more than 25 educational and various other institution under its roof. Ma’din, also offers help to the poor and the down- trodden in the society, besides acting as a source of help to the hapless victims of natural calamities.
Ma’din, is the testimony of truth and righteousness in the moral vista of social and spiritual renaissance.
Main promises them fresh dawns of hope. The compassionate hands of Ma’din, reach out to make thousands of orphans and the destitute feel safe and secure under its consoling wings. The deaf, the dumb, the mentally challenged and the physically disabled all get the soothing touch of Ma’din,. Setting unique examples in the dissemination of education, this movement is calling newer heights of success.
Ma’din, is a unique centre of education that provides a distinct blend of worldly and spiritual learning.It provides facilities for education from the primary to post graduate level. The unending flow of hundreds of thousands of people into Ma’din campus every month is more than enough to prove the psychological impact Ma’din has made on people. The monthly prayer congregation in the campus is a rare union of thousands of hearts to assimilate lesson in spiritual wisdom.
