Sattavan is a gotra or clan of Meena tribe. Origin In ancient times, the tribal Mewas (power) of the people of Parvwan people in Lakval and Barwada in the village Laka in Sikrai tehsil of Dausa district. Etymology Sattavan word is made of satta(reign) and van(forest).Sattavan means one who rule over forest.
