Sasi Merit School

Sasi Merit School is a school located in the southern town of Bhimavaram . The school is run by Mr.K.B.V. Murali Krishna with the inspiration and co-operation of Mr. B.R.K Raju, who served as a member and chairman of Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission between 2005 and 2011. Sasi Merit school was established in 2005.
The school was recognized in 2007 by the government of Andhra Pradesh. In the year 2010, a student by name M.Divyasri got the IIIT seat from the school. She was the first student from Bhimavaram to achieve this record among the English medium schools. The school's students have collected one lakh rupees for a flood relief fund, which was distributed to flood victims.
On August 15, 2009, the students prepared the longest Indian national flag of 650 feet long and 10 feet wide. They inspired the Bhimavaram people by rallying with the flag. For the first time in Bhimavaram, this school management invited scientists from Homibaba Research Centre in Mumbai. The students had the opportunity to see science experiments demonstrated before them. The students of Sasi Merit school always celebrate the National Science Day on February 28.
Every year on February 14, Sasi Merit School students celebrate the school's anniversary. Many alumni also attend this celebration.
On February 14, 2010, the school's administration honored the family members of Mr.Sudhir Kumar and Mr.Venkata Chalam in memory of their sons, who sacrificed their life for the country.
