*David Ores
*Mary Spink

Gloria Steinem said, "The Sara Curry Award is more important than the Oscars since it honors people who make a difference in the world by helping others."
Past Sara Curry Humanitarian Award presenters include Rachel Weisz, Michael Kelly, among other, prestigious community members.
Performers at the annual awards dinner have included comedian Jim Gaffigan, Marc McDonald, among others.
The award is named after Sara Curry, founder of Little Missionary's Day Nursery and herself a humanitarian, who started New York's first non-sectarian preschool at the turn of the 20th Century. The idea for the formal school was inspired after Sara brought children in from the street and cared for them during the day while their parents worked (a normal practice during that time was to allow small children to wander the streets unsupervised while parents worked).
