Sapan Krishna

Sapan Krishna is an Indian actor known for playing lead roles in Hindi and Kannada films. He gained fame after appearing in the bilingual movie Deadly Affair in 2020 and featuring opposite popular TV actress Hina Khan in music video Bedard released by Pocket FM in April 2021. Sapan is a fitness enthusiast and also a trained singer.
Early life
Sapan was born in Arrah, India to father Dr. Ranjit Bahadur Shrivastava, Retd. Principal of M.S. College Motihari and mother Pushpa Prasad, a home maker. During his initial schooling days, Sapan moved to New Delhi and completed rest of his education in North India. He is a Post Graduate in Media Management and has completed his Diploma in Advertising from YMCA in New Delhi. While in College, he did few ramp walks, took several modelling assignments and was featured as Dude of the Month for March 2012 in . Sapan acted in the promotional video for Nimish Tanna's book Moments of Truth which was also his first acting venture. After completing his post graduation, Sapan moved to Mumbai and worked with Asahi India Glass Limited as a Branding and Advertising professional for around two years. During this time he also got trained in acting from theatre personality Late Darpan Mishra of renowned Ekjute group.
Career
Sapan started his career as a model in 2017 and has appeared in numerous print and video commercials. He has been featured as the face for various brands campaigns including Birla White, Raymonds UCO Wear, Sorrento Casuals, Cool On Air Purifier and CFS Perfume. He has also appeared in various TV shows like Heroes on Channel V India and Fear Files: Darr Ki Sacchi Tasvirein on Zee TV. In 2017, he also marked his debut as a singer with the song Dil Hai Khafa Khafa released by Sonotek Music on their official Youtube channel and other platforms.

His first Hindi feature film Love in College was released in Oct 2019 in theatres across Mumbai. The music of Love In College was released by Zee Music Company and songs were sung by famous playback singer Shaan and Sushmita Yadav. The second Hindi film that he featured in a cameo appearance is Mooso - The Mouse which made rounds at various national and international film festivals including the prestigious Kolkata International Film Festival and Jaipur International Film Festival. Sapan's story was covered in an exclusive write-up by renowned writer and film director Khalid Mohamed in The Big Bollywood Dream in 2020.
His Kannada film as a main lead, Deadly Affair released across Karnataka in Feb 2020 and marked his debut in Sandalwood. Deadly Affair ran in theatres for 6 weeks but got affected when the Lockdown was imposed due to COVID-19 and theatres were shut. Deadly Affair is currently streaming on Airtel Xtreme and Amazon Prime in Unites States of America and United Kingdom.
In April 2021, Sapan featured opposite actress Hina Khan in singer Stebin Ben's music video Bedard released by Pocket FM where he played the role of Ranvijay Rawat a famous character from the hit Pocket FM show Yeh Rishta Kaisa Hai. The song has already crossed 33 Million views on the official YouTube page. Sapan received widespread popularity and media coverage for Bedard and was featured in many leading publications including multiple news stories on India Today, an Exclusive Interview with the Eastern Eye, Republic TV, The Lucknow Tribune, The News Agency, NewsD and MissMalini.
