Sanjib Pramanik

Sanjib Pramanik (born on 1st November 1952 at Charatala, Nadia) is an Indian Bengali-language poet.
From 1978,he has been a resident of Krishnagar City.He mastered in Literature from Calcutta University in 1975 and joined a High School at Malda in 1981.Sanjib started his journey as a poet during later parts of 1970. His early creations were influenced by surrealistic senses of Jibanananda Das,but later he showed accumulated regards toward Bengali literary tradition as well as Marxist view of Philanthropism. Debdas Acharya backed three poets of modern Bengali poetry and Sanjib among them, others being Joy Goswami and Subodh Sarkar.
Books and works
Three books Bhoi O Doiber Desh, She Ek Shamol Mrittu and Andhokar Yatra. All three have been under the Gangchil publisher owned by Anima Biswas and Adhir Biswas. Sanjib's last book published in 2012 was illustrated by Krishnendu Chaki of Anandabazar Patrika. Sanjib Pramanik received literary prizes such as Kabita Pakshik Samman, Bijoylal Chattopadhyay Puroskar, and Dwijendralal Roy Smrity Puroskar in 2013. Since 1997 he has been editing quarterly Baanglabhaasa magazine. He is still kicking and alive with poetic sensations.
He sketched innumerable imaginations as--
"trees grow up to embrace the sky,
but shed tears
And thus yield flowers as if stars
been put forth and thus unuttered lyrics get handed down."
