Sandy Davidson

Sandy Jardine Davidson was born on 28 May, 1972. He was abducted on 23 April, 1976 from his grandmother's home in Irvine, Ayrshire, Scotland. The three-year-old was in the care of his grandmother, who lived in the Bourtreehill area of the town, when he and his younger sister Donna (b. 1973) were playing in the front garden of the house with a family dog, which ran onto the street. In the lead up to his disappearance, the child is believed to have followed to look for it. When the dog returned home without Sandy, the children's grandmother raised the alarm. Donna, who was aged two, was too young to recall what happened to Sandy and her memories have remained vague into her adulthood.

In November 2006, Donna launched the Lost Children Campaign, which aims to locate children missing across the United Kingdom.
