Sandro Monetti

Sandro Monetti is a Hollywood insider - a broadcaster, author, scriptwriter, podcaster, event host and film executive. He has hosted several event and is often seen as a contributor for the CNN International and the BBC. Sandro has also been a in light for his writing and representative skills. The journalist have won many awards for his marvelous work in the media industry. He is also an active content creator and have worked on some plays, short films, shows and books.
Sandos also shared a deep passion for mentoring and a shares a special connection with both his home country Britain and adopted country America. The journalist has worked to contribute to both the nations. he stays connected with his legacy in Britain though his position as a director member of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles. While his contribution for American Culture comes from the Acquisitions and Development at Big Screen Entertainment Group, where he works as the president. Sandro is also a Trustee of the Royal Society of St George (under the patronage of Her Majesty the Queen).
Background in England
Monetti was the only child of an Italian father and English mother who raised him in Blackpool, Lancashire. He stayed with his family for the first few years. Then he persuaded a journalism at the University of Central Lancashire and started his career on home town newspaper, Blackpool's Evening Gazette. later, he moved into national newspapers, first with the Daily Star and later as TV Editor of the News of the World and made several TV appearances as a pundit and showbiz expert, including Pop Idol, Soccer AM and Showbiz UK.
Moving to America
Sandro relocated to Los Angeles working for Sky TV in a publicity role, doing on PR for Sky One's US shows such as 24, The X-Files and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. He also worked as a Hollywood correspondent for UK media, becoming a columnist for Smash Hits magazine and contributor to the Sunday Express, Daily Express and Daily Star newspapers as well as BBC TV and radio.
Journalism career
He went onto become Managing Editor of long established business magazine the Los Angeles Business Journal, Managing Editor of women's lifestyle site Entity and Editor-in-Chief of Hollywood International Filmmaker Magazine, winning LA Press Club awards for his work on each of those titles.  He created the world's first degree course in Celebrity Journalism and made trips back to England to teach the course to students at the University of Staffordshire.
TV work 
Sandro has made regular appearances on CNN International and HLN, discussing the business of entertainment and also reporting on the British royal family. He also appeared as a regular on Bravo TV's Then & Now with Andy Cohen. He has appeared on a string of celebrity documentaries including Britney Spears: Workin’ It, Dolly Parton: Queen of Country, Autopsy: The Last Hours of Karen Carpenter and The World's Most Pampered Pets.
Films
Monetti has taken on occasional acting roles, such as in the films For The Love of George and Englishman in LA: The Movie. He has also appeared in several short films he has also written, including British Hustle, Miserable Lesbians, Lady Boy and Manchester By The Canal.
Hosting
Sandro hosted An Evening with Sylvester Stallone in front of thousands of the movie star's fans at Manchester's Phones 4 U Arena in 2014 and has moderated hundreds of on-stage Q&As with movie stars, including hosting Summer of Sony in Cancun, Mexico, moderating panels at Comic-Con International in San Diego and many interviews for BAFTA LA. He also hosts a popular weekly Pub Quiz for Brits in LA and is the creator and host of the Celebrity Insider Movie Locations Tour of LA with Tourific Escapes.
Shows
Sandro wrote and directed the play Marilyn & Sinatra, about the little known love affair between Marilyn Monroe & Frank Sinatra, which was performed in London, at the Jermyn Street Theatre, in New York, at 59 E 59 Theatres and at the Edinburgh Festival. He also wrote and directed, and acted in, Miserable Lesbians - a parody musical of Les Misérables - which was staged at the same venues as did his autobiographical one man show, Clooney, Cowell, Pitt and Me.
Voice-over Work
Sandro has narrated the audiobooks Man Overboard, a romantic comedy by Monica Dickens, The People vs Tech, a digital revolution assessment by Jamie Bartlett and Marilyn & Sinatra, based on his own play.
Podcasting
Monetti is the host of the Who's The Best podcast, a pop culture debate show in which he discusses popular franchises like Star Trek, Batman and Doctor Who. Guests have included Burt Ward, Sylvester McCoy, Anita Pointer and Chesney Hawkes. For his work on the show he was nominated as Best Host in the Southern California Radio Awards 2020.
Awards
Sandro is a well-known journalist and social worker. He has received several awards including a humanitarian award for his work last year. Sandro has received the President's Volunteer Service Gold Award from President Trump in 2019 and the United Nations Association of America (UNA of the USA Humanitarian Award in 2018).

Confessions of a Hollywood Insider is Sandro Monetti's latest book - a collection of amusing stories about his encounters with over a hundred A-list stars. He previously wrote biographies of two of his favorite movie stars, Mickey Rouke: Wrestling with Demons and Colin Firth: The Man Who Would Be King. He was one of several writers of the World War II book D-Day 75th Anniversary: A Millennials Guide.His latest book is the Confessions of a Hollywood Insider. It details his amusing encounters with the biggest stars in Tinseltown and follows his previous works.
