Description Sampitres is a boat that was Launched in 2002 and was built by Vaudrey Miller Yachts. It was Designed by LOMOcean Design, formerly known as Craig Loomes Design Group Ltd.. Sampitres was built for long distance trips and as a day boat. Sampitres uses a system known as wave-piercing which is when the hulls of a boat can cut through a wave instead of rolling over it. The benefit of wave-piercing technology is that the boat is more stable and it is able to travel at greater speeds through rough seas. The hull form therefore enables Sampitres to travel across the Atlantic Ocean at relatively high speeds. Sampitres is not as wide accross as many similar multihull boats because it needs to be moored in the Mediterranian which is known for it's narrow berthing situations. In terms of accomodation, Sampitres has two double state rooms, a double cabin and two bunkrooms spread across three and a half decks. Sampitres was listed as a finalist for the 2002 Super Yacht Society International design award.
