Sam Sargent (Sarge)
Background It-Boy Sam Sargent, was born 14th March 1989 in Palmerston North, New Zealand. He attended Huntley Prep School, Marton, and Wanganui Collegiate School, Wanganui, until 2006.
'"Sarge'" made his big break at the end of 2006 when he took on the role as VIP host at New Zealand's Premiere New Years Eve Party, Rhythm & Vines. He then took matters into his own hands and leaving his course at Queenstown Resort College, made the move to Auckland New Zealand to make a name for himself.
As son of New Zealand Racing Chairman, Guy Sargent, Sarge slowly became a regular face in New Zealand media and on the Auckland social scene, well-known for his family's involvement with racing, his personality and social antics. In March 2008 he threw his 19th birthday party at Pasha Lounge down in Auckland's trendy Viaduct Village which gained a lot media interest. His friends in attendance including Pro Surfer Maz Quinn, Actress Kimberley Crossman, Model Nicky Watson and Millie Holmes, Daughter of New Zealand broadcasting guru, Paul Holmes.
Even though he lives in Queenstown New Zealand, for the winter ski season's, he regularly is seen in Auckland when not residing there and still retains his "It-Boy" status on the New Zealand celebrity scene, recently being 1 of 16 very well-known faces on the New Zealand Heralds Celebrity Climbers for 2008.
Sarge also was a co-presenter alongside Clarke Gayford at the 2007 Zillionstars Diabetes Charity Bash.
Recently he announced that he will be getting on-board the team at Rhythm & Vines for a second time in three years, before moving to London in 2009 for a year.
