Sam Panayotovich

Sam Panayotovich (born March 22, 1989) is an American sportswriter and radio personality for Most Valuable Network . He is best known for hosting Outsider Radio with Brandon Rosage. Sam currently serves as radio producer and staff writer at MVN as well as the host of Southside Perspective. The Chicago-based sports talk show hits the airwaves every Monday and Thursday at 4 p.m. EST.

Panayotovich was born and raised on the Southeast Side of Chicago and attended Mount Carmel High School in Woodlawn. He's currently enrolled at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign working toward a degree in broadcast journalism.

Sam broke into sports writing in March 2006, covering the NCAA Tournament for Six Dollar Beer, a former online sports community. His work landed him a writing spot at MVN in February 2007. The majority of his entries involve college hoops, although at times he will delve into the professional ranks. Sam has also covered March Madness, the Super Bowl, the Chicago White Sox and written various feature stories.

He has had work featured or linked on , Deadspin, AOL Fanhouse, The Big Lead, Pro Sports Daily, The Baseball Zealot, Yardbarker and BallHype, and made guest radio appearances on ESPN Radio 1000, Ticket 760, WPGU and several syndicated radio shows across the web.

A well-known NBA Draft follower, Sam earned national recognition in 2007 for having the best mock. He nailed the first nine picks and 11 of the first 15.
