Sakett Saawhney

Sakett Saawhney is an Indian film producer and television producer who hails from Mumbai, Maharashtra.
Career
1996-1997: breakthrough
Saawhney started off his career with Vivek Agnihotri as an assistant director on Saturday Suspense, Love Story and X Zone episodic series.
2003-2009: moving up
Saawhney moved to Balaji Telefilms as an executive producer and spearheaded the production of many shows in his tenure and also a few movies under the newly opened Balaji Motion Pictures under the tutelage of Chief executive officer Mr. Ramesh Sippy. In 2009, he resigned as the General manager production.
2010: formed a production company
Saawhney in early 2010, formed a company known as Flying Turtle Films with Shabir Ahluwalia. By the end of 2013, he joined Balaji Motion Pictures in the capacity of Head of Production of Films and worked on many films till 2016. Saawhney recently produced the web series Fixerr in 2019 for ALT balaji and ZEE5.
Early life
Saawhney in his early years grew up in the modest neighbourhood of Antop Hill in Mumbai with his parents. His early education was performed in IES school Dadar. the family shifted to the western suburbs in Versova and he did the rest of education in , Andheri. Saawhney shifted to Mithibai College to pursue his college education in the commerce stream until he decided to give the entertainment industry a try and began working at an early age of 16.
Personal life
Saawhney's parents originate from Kashmir and migrated to Delhi after the partition in 1948. His father Brij Bhushan Saawhney is a topper of 1971 batch at the National School of Drama, Delhi. Once he moved to Mumbai, he worked in many films and television serials like Nukkad. He was also part of the AIR as a senior announcer and retired a few years back after working for almost four decades. He is also known to be the voice for several hundred advertisements and of lead actors of many south indian films dubbed in Hindi. Saawhney's mother Asha Saawhney was also a renowned announcer with AIR and worked there for almost two decades before she passed away in 1999. Saawhney has a younger sister and sakett is married to Riti Saawhney.
