Sai Shraddha

Sai Shraddha Trust was formed in year 1985 and has been in service for past 25 years. The founder was Pujyasri Guruji Rajagopal ji.He started this movement casually and one of the agenda was to do a devoted pada yatra to SHRIDI from talegoan (aprox.190 km) in a span of 5 days. The group of like minded people and devoted to sai joined immediately to his call. He says this was not his call it was Sri SAI who directed him and made these arrangement and he was only an instrument for the same.
The first objective was
Walk to Shridi with SAI's Phalki over the head of devotees.
Once decided to start the pada yatra, an auspicous date was fixed pref the last or last but one Saturday would be ideal and this would fall in the month of January, so that the total no of leave taken would reduce from 4 to 3 because of Republic day falling in between.
Since the month of JANUARY is chosen to pada yatra the yatris are warned about the chill weather during the night and day.
all are requested to get their own clothing (winter) and medicines for any preventive care.
The poojas would commence at the temple of Ganapathi situated in the gate of DOD talegoan.
The coconut would be cracked and the phalki would be lifted by te guruji and the yatra continues from there.
The patrons or the devotees of SAI would pamper the yatris on the way as per his wishes.
The first halt would be at a house who serves us poha (maharashtra dish)along with tea. This halt was 1 km from the starting point.
once this was finished the palki starts and the chants of "HARE RAM HARE RAM SAI RAM HARE HARE, HARE KRISHNA HARE KRISHNA SAI KRISHNA HARE HARE" revebravets in the air as all the yatris chant at the peak of their voice.
This has two objectives:
1.Unnecessary gossip would stop and we think about lord through the entire journey.
2.We forget our pain the leg as we are not used to walking.
After the first stop we cross the bridge of Indriyani river and keep going through the industrial hubs of Pune
Another saibhakt calls the yatris for tea after alomost one and half hour of travel to his house and offers fresh ground nuts and tea to refresh our selves.
Due to the frequent power cuts in maharasthra we go through these places mostly in night and with out electricity.
The destination is CHAKAN or KARABWADI . the palki passes through Cadbury office @ induri, Bajaj automobiles,Ahmednagar forgins, Loreal factories and finally reaches the destination place at chakan.
Finally we complete the day by reaching KARABWADI after completing 22 km and start taking rest in the vittal mandir on the main road to chakan.
Later after the demise of pujya gurji Rajagopal, Pujya Guruji Shri R.Venkatnarayanan took over and has been taking this trust towards the goal.
2010 was being celebrated as silver jubliee year and was celebrated in grand manner.
