Ryan Coe

Ryan Alan Coe (born January 16, 1973) is an American baseball coach and former catcher, who is the current head baseball coach of the Kennesaw State Owls. He played college baseball at Cleveland State Community College before transferring to Kennesaw State where he played for head coach Mike Sansing from 1994 to 1995 before playing professionally from 1995 to 1997.
Playing career
Coe attended Lakeview Fort Oglethorpe High School and played college baseball at Cleveland State Community College where he was an All-American. He then transferred to Kennesaw State University where he helped the Owls win the 1994 NAIA World Series, being named a American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings First Team All-American. During his senior year, Coe hit a Peach Belt Conference single-season record, .469 batting average, in route to being named the Peach Belt Player of the Year. Coe was drafted in the 40th round of the 1995 Major League Baseball draft by the Houston Astros. Coe spent three years in the Astros' organization before deciding to retire from playing.
Coaching career
Coe began his coaching career as an assistant for Sansing. He then became a scout for the Texas Rangers in 2009. Coe was the driving factor in the Rangers drafting Justin Grimm.
On July 17, 2021, Coe was named the head coach of the Kennesaw State Owls.
