Ryan Allen Humphrey

Ryan Allen Humphrey (born August 7, 1981) is an American musician. He was born in Lakewood, California. He began playing musical instruments at the age of 8. Over the span of 20 years, he played everything from string instruments to brass, woodwind and percussion instruments. Some of these instruments include the trumpet, alto saxophone, violin, trombone, xylophone, and drum set.
Humphrey graduated from Los Alamitos High School in 1999 and immediately began to build a reputation as being a highly talented and extremely reliable musician. From 2000 - 2007 he played with a long list of different bands in southern California's local music scene. Bands included Mental Compromise, Environmental Backlash, The Insurgents, Total Eclipse of the Heart, and The Slushtones. However, he is more known for his performance and writing contributions involving bands Chase Long Beach, Anti-Fun Society, and Half Past Two. After his departure from ska/punk band Chase Long Beach they went on to sign with Chicago based record label Victory Records.
Humphrey is the President and CEO of DownBeat Music Studios, which he personally developed and launched out of Cypress, California, during the summer of 2009. Along with running his own company, he has returned back to school and is currently working toward his degree in sound engineering and music production.
