Ruth Pat-Horenzcyk is an Israeli academic and child trauma specialist. Pat-Horenzcyk received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the Hebrew University and completed her post-doctoral training at the University of California, San Diego. Pat-Horenzcyk is the Director of the Child and Adolescent clinical services at the Center for the Treatment of Psychotrauma at Herzog Hospital Israel in Jerusalem. She is also a lecturer at the Hebrew University's School of Social Work. In 2007, Pat-Horenzcyk began conducting an Israel-wide screening project designed to identify and provide treatment for post-traumatic distress among children and adolescents. This study was never completed or is still in progress. Pat-Horenzcyk has published various articles and contributed several book chapters in the field of child trauma and has appeared at numerous international conferences to present her clinical work and research findings.
