Ruth Koll

Ruth Nedeltcheva Koleva (born on April 18, 1990 in Sofia, Bulgaria) best known by her stage name Ruth Koll or simply Ruth is a European Award-Winning R&B and Soul singer, songwriter, pianist, and record producer. Ruth has 4-octave vocal range, and as well she is famous for being able to sing in the whistle register.

Early age

Ruth's parents, Nedeltcho Kolev (World and Olympic Weightlifting Champion) and Elisavetha Shipochlieva (artist) bought her piano for her 4th birthday, and by the age of 5 Ruth knew how to sing and play Edith Piaf and Nat King Cole songs. In 1996 at the age of 6 Ruth started performing Bulgarian Traditional songs, in India(where she lived for 2 years) she was a huge sensation with her vocal abilities. In 1999 Ruth had her first big performance on Private Event in Thailand's skyscraper Hotel "Bayok", singing "My heart will go on" by Celine Dion.

By the age of 11 Ruth had composed her first song, at 12 performed in front of president Bill Clinton and Pope John Paul II and at 14 had her first tour in Europe.

Inspired by many genres of music Koll compares her style to female singers like Christina Aguilera, Jill Scott and Lauryn Hill. When Ruth turned 14 she had already won more than 60 awards in singing contests.

2005
In 2005 Ruth signed a management contract with New Hampshire Based Manager and Concert Promoter Joe Fletcher which was later terminated.

In October-November that same year she recorded three demos in NY with the legendary producer Martin Briley. Also made photo shoots as well had major public attention.

2007 Change

Since 2007 she took the stage numerous times. In early 2007 she performed with Dub Legend Mad Professor in Sofia who was amazed by her talent, in March she took the Stage with hip-hop artists Sensei, Cmotan MC and Filip(Fars) on the Image.bg concert in Traffic, week after she performed with drum and bass artist Cooh(H.M.S.U.) in club Sugar in Sofia. Later that week a live Radio Performance ("Ladies in Bass") came with that same Artist.
In May Ruth opened Fars's New Album Promotion with the band Logo5, couple of days later She sang on the Institut Francais & Bedbugstudio presentation of "Fete De La Musique" (The Music day).
In July Ruth had her own concert in club Sugar where the event was sold out. In August she was part of the "Back to the sea Side" Event is Sozopol, performing her new tracks as well she shared the stage with one of Europe's best beat boxers Skiller.

First single

This same month Ruth released her first single "Clean your Heart" feat. Jahmmy Youth. The song is a combination of Reggae/Dancehall beats and Soulful Vocals. Already named one of the Best Songs of the Year.

Video was taped for her debut single "Don't Search for me".
4 Articles came out that same month in some of the most-popular magazines in the country.

In the end of August Ruth is going to LA to be part of The Hollywood Pop Academy where she was accepted early this year.
