Ruth Joffre

Ruth Joffre is an American writer-in-residence and author of fiction, poetry, nonfiction, and flash-fiction. Her debut book Night Beast and Other stories was published in 2018.
Early life and education
Joffe was born in Northern Virginia to a Bolivian mother.
Her writing has appeared in Masters Review, Kenyon Review, Electric Literature, Gulf Coast among others. She has also conducted an interview series on Catapult, where she has interviewed Melissa Febos and Matt Bell.
Her short story "Night Beast", which became the titular story of her debut collection of short stories Night Beast and Other Stories, was selected by American author Kelly Link as winner of the Masters Review Fall Fiction Contest.
