Rupert Dover

Rupert Timothy Alan Dover (born 1967) is a British-born chief superintendent with the Hong Kong Police Force.
Career
Dover joined the former Royal Hong Kong Police in 1988 and stayed on after the end of the British Administration. In 2014 he helped police the Occupy Central protests in the territory. In 2016, he received the Chief Executive's Commendation for Government/Public Service.
Anti-extradition bill protests
On 12 June, he was the commander in charge of clearance operations and maintenance of public order. On that day, more than 150 tear gas canisters were discharged and 20 beanbag rounds were fired. In addition, rubber bullets were also used during clearance operations..
On 7 July, hundreds of anti-government protesters tried to confront chief superintendent of Hong Kong police Rupert Dover following a largely peaceful protest march in Kowloon.
