Ruinz Ason

Biography
Born and bread in South-East London, Ruinz Ason ,currently 24, began rapping and writing from the age of 11. An interesting fact about Ruinz is that he didn’t begin his career by battling other rappers or writing 16 bar verses, but instead chose to write full-length songs around subjects that were based on stories and concepts, something more commonly associated with singers more so than rappers. With his love for performing and a distinctive energetic stage presence, Ruinz has supported UK acts such as Ms Dynamite, Nathan, Donaeo and more. He names artists ranging from Prince, Van Hunt and Cold Play to Common, Fugees and OutKast as some of the people that have inspired his music.
Ruinz describes his music as ‘Balanced Bi-Polar outbursts’. His music has a distinctive influence from 70’s and 90’s soul and electro Music. Ruinz’s USP is writing songs from two opposite perspectives; the ‘Hero’, which is his positive take on life and the ‘Villain’, which Ruinz refers to as to his negative side. His songs successfully paint a colourful picture of a person battling to find a healthy balance in life, while trying to survive in a world that constantly rejects you. Ruinz has A BA (HONS) Degree in Commercial Music and is nephew to previous Kiss FM D&B DJ Chris-interface
