Rugby threes

Rugby threes is a variation of rugby union in which each team fields only three players at a time, instead of the usual 15. Teams may comprise more than three players, allowing for free substitutions throughout the game.

Rules
Field
The suggested size of a rugby threes field is by , although variations are allowed to adapt to local circumstances. The surface of the pitch is grass or any other smooth, obstacle-free surface.
General gameplay
Rugby threes is a variant of touch rugby. There is no tackling; when the offensive side's ball carrier is touched, he or she stops at the point of contact. To put the ball in play again, the carrier must kick the ball and do a hand pass to a teammate. During this play, the defensive players must remain at least from the carrier.

Scoring
Each try in rugby threes is worth 5 points.
Duration
The suggested duration of a rugby threes game is two 7-minute periods, with a 2-minute rest period between them. This duration may also be modified to suit the needs of the venue and players.
