Ross Newell

Biography Ross Newell is a maker of music and films. Born in Enfield England on February 7th 1966 he is musically best known for co-writing a lot of the songs on Sophie Ellis-Bextor's commercially successful 1991 debut . After spending his formative years in Wolverhampton and Telford Newell moved to London in 1987 to study acting at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts. It was there he formed a close relationship with the now successful Artist Stella Vine. More recently he has written and directed two short films. which showed at the Short Film Corner at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival and PIG which was shortlisted at the 2007 Filminute Festival. In 2008 he has just completed his debut feature INSIDE EVELYN DARCY; a spoof documentary about a fictitous poet. He currently resides in Spain & London.
