Ross Landry

Ross was born and raised in Trenton. After graduating from Trenton High School he attended the Atlantic Police Academy and worked for the Sydney and New Glasgow/Trenton Polices Services.
Ross Landry is currently the Pictou Centre candidate for the New Democratic Party of Nova Scotia.
In 1975 he joined the RCMP and is soon to retire after an illustrious career that involved working in provinces across Canada. Besides performing operational policing duties, Ross developed and delivered national and international training courses for the Proceeds of Crime Branch, the United States/Canada Joint Financial Investigation Course and co-authored a report on current and potential application of Alternative Dispute Resolution strategies within the RCMP.

Throughout his career, Ross continued a pursuit of life-long learning:
- Bachelor of Arts degree (Criminology/Native Studies) from the University of Manitoba
- Bachelor of Education (Adult Learning) from the University of Regina
- Bachelor of Laws from the University of Ottawa
- Designation as a Registered Practitioner in Dispute Resolution from the Canadian International Institution of Applied Negotiation, Ottawa,
- Three certificates in Advanced Mediation and Negotiation from Harvard Law School.
