Rory Loy (born 19 March 1988 in Dumfries) is a Scottish footballer currently with Scottish Premier League club Rangers. Loy, a striker, is currently in the Rangers Reserve team.
Rory spent most of his formative days in the village of Sandhead in South West Scotland. He attended the nearby Sandhead Primary School between the years of 1993 and 2000, and was a star for the 'A' team, before moving on to Stranraer Academy in 2000.
He was signed by Alex McLeish in April 2006 for £25,000 from Kilmarnock, whose manager Jim Jefferies subsequently called for changes in Scottish transfer regulations because of how cheaply Rangers were able to sign one of his team's best young prospects.
In October 2007 Loy signed a one year extension to his Rangers contract and will remain at Ibrox until the summer of 2009.
