Robert (Rob) Lainton (born 12 October 1988) is an English professional footballer, currently playing for Bolton Wanderers as a goalkeeper. Bolton Wanderers Club Career Rob worked his way up the Bolton Wanderers academy and youth system and is currently seen as the third choice goalkeeper following the departure of Jussi Jaaskelainen and the arrival of Andy Lonergan. He was first selected for the first team against Arsenal in 2011 in a Premier League match, acting as an unused substitute. In March 2011 he signed a two year contract with Bolton Wanderers. Personal life Rob Lainton, from Hyde, is very happy to be playing for the Wanderers and has said that playing for Bolton is a dream come true. |
