Ron Brewington

Ron Brewington (born November 2, 1946) is an American radio and television broadcaster, a 2007 inductee into the Broadcasters Hall of Fame. Early life Brewington was born in New York, New York, one of a set of twins.<ref name=historymakers/> Upon graduation from Aviation High School in 1964, Brewington enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where he remained until 1985, directing various Navy Broadcasting Service Detachments. After retirement, he attended University of California, Los Angeles, California State University, Long Beach and Harrington University, London, England, earning degrees in Journalism and Broadcast Journalism. Career Brewington held positions as an anchor/reporter at various stations before settling as the Los Angeles bureau chief for American Urban Radio Networks, a job he held for seventeen years.<ref namehistorymakers/> Subsequently, he became a stringer for Associated Press Radio Network and also contributed to Chatbusters News Service in the United Kingdom as the Los Angeles correspondent. He has produced a number of nationally syndicated radio programs and also hosted and wrote the R&B Superstars Series. Brewington was inducted into the Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2007, the same year as his twin brother Rudolph Brewington.<ref nameBHF/>
