Ron Book is an American lobbyist from the state of Florida. He has represented state entities, such as Broward County, and private companies, such as the Miami Dolphins. Book served as chair of the Miami-Dade Homeless Trust since 2004. History During his tenure at the Miami-Dade Homeless Trust, the homeless population in the area decreased from 8,000 to 1,300. In 2011, Book was one of the people investigated by the FBI as part of a federal probe into government officials in the state of Florida. According to the allegations, Book had helped state senator Mandy Dawson's boyfriend secure a job at a firm he represented in order to improve relations with her. He denied the allegations. In 2024, Book was nominated by fellow Broward Democratic representative Jared Moskowitz for 2024 Nobel Peace Prize for his work in his daughter's nonprofit organization Lauren's Kids. Ron has been referred as one of the most promonent lobbyist in the state. Personal life He was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2022.
