Rodney “Rod” A. Baltzer

Rod Baltzer is the Chief Operating Officer of Deep Isolation, Inc. and former President and CEO of Waste Control Specialists. Career Baltzer began his career as a Staff Accountant in the Dallas office of Ernst & Young in 1990. He progressed to Audit Manager by the time he left in 1997. Waste Control Specialists / Contran Corporation: In 1997, Baltzer started working for the Contran Corporation as an Assistant Controller. Contran is a holding company that was owned by . Contran eventually acquired 100% of Waste Control Specialists. Baltzer became more involved with WCS and was the Chief Financial Officer from 2004 to 2008. Baltzer added the title and responsibilities of President in 2006 and the title and responsibilities of CEO in 2015. He left WCS in 2018 after the sale of the enterprise to J.F. Lehman and Company. Baltzer continued his career within the nuclear waste management industry by joining Deep Isolation in 2018 as the Chief Operating Officer.
